Bishops Mitrophan and Atanasije at Monastery Glogovac

On October 5, 2014, on the 17th Sunday after Pentecost, the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was served at Glogovac Monastery by His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America and the con-celebration of host hierarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac.

Concelebrating with the bishops were clergy and hieromonks from the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac, as well as Fr. Savo Rakita, a guest from the Diocese of Srem. At the end of the liturgy Bishop Mitrophan addressed the faithful, expressing his great joy for being in the church in which he began to reveal the mystery of Christ, the mystery of the Church and where he communed for the first time.

"Preaching at this holy place were great men, spiritual fathers, priests, patriarchs, such as Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose, Bishop Vasilije of Banja Luka and later Zicha, Bishop Andrej and many other hierarchs, as well as many wonderful priests, among them our own unforgettable Fr. Mirislav Strika, who faithful served here for some decades....I gladly evoke memories of all of those wonderful people who for years came here, stressed Bishop Mitophan, who later interpreted the gospel reading, calling on the faithful to unite their faith with love in the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Atanasije greeted his dear guest, thanking him for his visit and officiating at the Divine Liturgy.

An agape meal followed prepared by Fr. Teofil for all the guests, abbot of the monastery.
