Protinica +Ana Stepanov Reposed in the Lord on Sunday, Vidovdan, June 28, 2026, in Medina, Ohio. She was born on September 22, 1942, in Belgrade, Serbia, then Yugoslavia, to a prominent Serbian family as the only child of Miodrag and Branka Radosavljevic.

She earned her degree in Serbian Literature from the University of Belgrade, and in February 1963, Ana married her college sweetheart, Stevan Stepanov, who was ordained a deacon in March of that same year. They immigrated to the United States in June of 1971, settling in Cleveland, Ohio. In February of 1973, Stevan was ordained a priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. The couple faithfully served the community of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church for forty-one years. St. Elijah was not only their first and only parish—it was their beloved family.

During that time, Ana was a devoted and supportive wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother. She embodied the quiet strength of a traditional Serbian Orthodox priest’s wife, all while raising a family, welcoming countless guests and dignitaries in the parish home. She also helped Fr. Stevan with many church programs over the years through which she became a loyal friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor +Stevan Stepanov, in 2018. Ana is survived by her daughter Ivana (Tony) Taylor, her son Marko (Inna) Stepanov, and her cherished grandsons: Alexander, Dimitri, Roman, and Stevan.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 1pm-4pm at Tatalovich Funeral Home, 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001. The Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 3:30pm in the funeral home.

Family and friends will gather Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, 2200 Irwin St., Aliquippa, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10am. His Grace Bishop Irinej of Washington-New York and Eastern America will officiate, together with members of the clergy. 

Interment will follow at St. Elijah Church Cemetery, Hopewell Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests that all and any contributions may be made to St. Elijah Church/Chapel Bells, in Ana’s name.
