With the blessings of His Grace Irinej, Bishop of Eastern America, Hiermonk Maksim (Ilic), spiritual father of New Marcha Monastery, visited Mayor Georgine Welo of the City of South Euclid. During this two-hour visit, Fr. Maksim presented the new plans for the building project of New Marcha Monastery, which was of great interest to the Mayor. The two also discussed the possibility of creating sister cities between South Euclid and Kraljevo. Mayor Georgine Welo spoke of her recent visit to Serbia, including her experiences with the people of Serbia and future joint projects. 

This visit was a great way for Fr. Maksim to conclude the first anniversary of his coming to America, a country that is a warm homeland to all nations.
