Sunday, May 19th Saint Sava Church in St. Petersburg Florida celebrated St. Nicholai Velimirovic the protector of our church school. In the sermon father Dragan Zaric invited all gathered to the joy of Christs Resurrection reminding that this joy is multiplied with the mention of St. Nicholai Velimirovic, who was a witness of Christs Resurrection, not only did he write capital works, but lived with Christs Resurrection, with faith in Resurrected Christ, and preached His divine science. Feast joy was continued after the Holy Liturgy in the parish hall, where father Dragan blessed the slava bread and wheat and congratulated children on their slava and to all gathered. Luncheon was served and prepared by godparents Neven and Milijana Zdralo with their three children. Godparents family Nedic and Bozic were selected for next years slava. Children's program was lead by Dragana Bilic who read a section on the life and works of St. Nicholai Velimirovic. Children's church choir sang the song: “We are children of the sky” and the “Winning song” written by St. Nicholai Velimirovic. Emilija Stojancevic and Gavrilo Zaric recited the “ Hymn of Love” by St. Apostel Paul. Folklore group Srpski Biser lead by choreographer Stefan Blagojevic performed a delightful program. Popadija Izvorinka Zaric and Sladjana Lukic awarded diplomas to the children who regularly attended classes. Furthermore, children also received Easter Magazine issued by our Diocese. We would like to thank our Bishop Irinej for giving his blessing to our parish children to be the sole guests of this years magazine. We also thank our deacon Jovan Anicic director of education who on a regular basis sends materials and children's magazines for our school.

At the end of the program, father Dragan thanked everyone on the wonderful gathering, and to everyone who helps and supports our church school. We also extend our thanks to talented Jelena Mulin on beautiful photographs.
