In the Holy Imperial Serbian Laura, Chilandar, its founder, the Venerable Symeon the Myrrh-Streaming, was celebrated with a solemn holiday service.

The Council of Elders of the Holy Monastery of Chilandar has made a decision that on the day of the feast of the Venerable Symeon, at the end of the Holy Liturgy, a prayer act of thanksgiving will be served on the occasion of the election of His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch. In this way, the Chilandar brotherhood, although outside the homeland and in difficult conditions of isolation, spiritually and prayerfully participates in the life of the believing Serbian people, thanking God for electing Patriarch Porfirije, a worthy heir of Patriarch Irinej of blessed repose on the Saint Sava’s throne of the Serbian Church.

In accordance with the measures of the Greek state and the Holy Municipality of Mount Athos to prevent the spread of the corona virus pandemic in Chilandar, there were no guests on this big feast day.

У Светој царској српској лаври Хиландару торжественом празничном службом прослављен је њен ктитор, Преподобни Симеон Мироточиви.

Сабор стараца Светог манастира Хиландара донео је одлуку да се на дан празника Преподобног Симеона, на крају свте Литургије, служи молитвени чин благодарења поводом избора Његове Светости Патријарха српског г. Порфирија. На тај начин хиландарско братство, иако ван матице и у тешким условима изолације, духовно и молитвено саучествује у животу благоверног српског народа, благодарећи Господу на избору патријарха Порфирија, достојног наследника блажене успомене патријарха Иринеја на Светосавском трону Српске Цркве.

У складу са мерама грчке државе и Свештене општине Свете Горе за спречавање ширења пандемије корона вируса у Хиландару на велики празник није било гостију
