После позива Његовог Преосвештенства, Епископа источноамеричког Господина Иринеја упућеног 5. јануара 2021. године свим парохијама, црквено-школским општинама и верном народу Епархије источноамеричке за помоћ српским епархијама погођеним земљотресом у Републици Хрватској, благајна Епархијског управног одбора примила је значајан број донација у укупном износу од 14,549.00 америчких долара.

Износ од 13,000.00 УСД достављен је члановима Епископског Савета Српске Православне Цркве у Републици Хрватској – Његовој Светости Патријарху Порфирију, Администратору Митрополије загребачко-љубљанске и Епископу горњокарловачком Герасиму. Ове две Епархије претрпеле су највеће последице разорног земљотреса с краја децембра 2020. године.

Велики број црквено-школских општина Епархије источноамеричке контактирао је Епархијску канцеларију са обавештењем да ће прилози истих стићи нешто касније, будући да донације парохијана још увек пристижу. Ова средства, по завршетку прикупљања, биће одговорно достављена Његовој Светости и члановима Епископског Савета у Републици Хрватској, како би допринела обнови домова, живота и светиња наше браће у Хрватској.

Овом приликом, изражавамо дубоку благодарност свима који су одазвали позиву за помоћ и послали своје прилоге благајни Епархијског управног одбора. Позивамо свештенство, Управне Одборе црквено-школских општина и верне Епархије источноамеричке који још нису послали своје намењене прилоге, да то што пре учине, како би преко потребна помоћ благовремено стигла онима који је са надом очекују.

Upon the invitation of His Grace Irinej, Bishop of Eastern America, sent on January 5, 2021 to all parishes, church-school congregations, and the faithful of the Diocese of Eastern America to help Serbian Dioceses affected by the earthquake in the Republic of Croatia, the treasury of the Diocesan Administrative Board received a significant number of donations in the amount of $14,549.00.

The amount of $13,000.00 was delivered to the members of the Episcopal Council of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Republic of Croatia - His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije, the Administrator of the Metropolitanate of Zagreb-Ljubljana, and Bishop Gerasim of Upper Karlovac. These two Dioceses suffered the greatest consequences of the devastating earthquake from the end of December 2020.

A large number of church-school congregations of the Diocese of Eastern America contacted the Diocesan Office with the notification that their contributions will arrive late since the donations of parishioners are still arriving. These funds, following the conclusion of the collection, will be responsibly delivered to His Holiness and the members of the Episcopal Council in the Republic of Croatia, in order to contribute to the renewal of the homes, lives, and temples of our brethren in Croatia.

On this occasion, we express our deep gratitude to all those who responded to the call for help and sent their contributions to the treasury of the Diocesan Administrative Board. We call on the clergy, the boards of church-school congregations and the faithful of the Diocese of Eastern America, who have not yet sent their intended contributions, to do so as soon as possible, so that the much-needed help reaches those who anticipate it in a timely manner.
