LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD PRESENTED TO RABBI ARTHUR SCHNEIER

Earlier in the evening, Rabbi Arthur Schneier received a Lifetime Achievement Award for six decades of interfaith work and dedication to promoting interreligious harmony and understanding.

“Over my many decades I have seen the worst of crimes inflicted on humanity, but I have also seen some of very best in the human condition: acts of selfless charity, personal heroism, the courage of convictions that have put the well-being of others over self. In an age when nations are competing for strategic advantage – for resources – for dominance – for battlefield victories – the role of religion has the ability to play a pivotal role in creating a shared moral language that bridges these divides,” said Rabbi Schneier.
